An olive green jacket worn infrequently by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is in high demand, but the company that produces it is too busy suffering from the war to worry about making a quick buckle with the zippered fleece.
Zelenskyy has become one of the top leaders photographed worldwide. He wears the fleece, made by Ukrainian tactical equipment brand M-TAC, for televised speeches and for meetings with world leaders who come to call him.
Zelenskyy wears the jacket in a photo with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in April that was published in nearly every U. S. media.
The corporation was established five years ago, according to its website, and manufactures “practical, high-quality tactical gadgets and outerwear with the ultimate fashion design. “The motto of the M-TAC: “Born of the revolution, hardened by war”.
Taras Rudnytskyi, the Ukrainian director who runs M-TAC’s U. S. operations, told Business Insider that demand has skyrocketed since the war began 3 months ago, and told Insider that he has won applications for the jacket from around the world.

Earlier this month, one of the jackets worn by Zelenskyy, auctioned at the “Brave Ukraine” charity fundraiser in London, raised $110,000.
A similar M-TAC fleece is available for around $30. But Rudnytskyi said the company manufactures the used fleece through Zelenskyy entirely in Ukraine and focuses on generating clothing for the country’s armed forces. The war has made it difficult to continue with any kind of production, he said.
“We hope to refuel it one day, after our victory,” Rudnytskyi told Insider. “For now, it’s impossible. “
