“The whistleblowers sued YouTube for allegedly not doing enough to prevent third-party scammers from taking over YouTube’s user accounts and perpetrating a cryptocurrency scam through those stolen accounts. YouTube did not orchestrate or participate in this scam, and after being informed of it fraudulent content posted through the hacked accounts, YouTube deleted it. Claims by plaintiffs under state law are prohibited through Section 230 of the CDA, 47 USC – 230 (“Article 230″), and all their claims fail for themselves.”
