There’s a viral video of the Kardashians “crying” at the Met Gala hanging around on TikTok, and we can’t take our eyes off it.
Kardashian’s extended family showed up en masse on the opening occasion at the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, along with Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian, and Kylie, Kris and Kendall Jenner, all showcasing their fashionable foot respectively, in combination with Kim’s comedian/actor partner, Pete Davidson, and Kourtney’s husband, musician Travis Barker.
Apparently, everyone was having fun (despite some pretty eclectic outfits ranging from a wedding dress, Kylie, to Kim’s dress that Marilyn Monroe wore).

So what we weren’t ready for was a video of the entire Kardashian contingent braying their eyes on the red carpet, for Pete, who seemed habitual, with a big smile.
In a TikTok video, user Ray Swift or @rayxswift, a relative TikTok influencer with his 744k fans, shared a video of other Met Gala clips where everyone has what looks like a wrinkled face of tears, all with the same revealing, moody pout. mouth and oppressed expression.
What’s going on?! We’ve all noticed false crying in the movies, but that’s a totally different matter. Even Travis did!
“Why were all the Kardashians so unhappy at the gala of the meeting?” wrote Ray in his message.
And TikTok users enjoyed the video. ” I’M SCREAMING GGGGG,” one user wrote in the comment segment below the post. “Everyone fought in front of the red carpet,” the netizen joked, while a third comment read: “I cry for laughing. “a lot on this. ” It has gained over a million views and nearly 3,000 comments at the time of writing.
Judging by the trailer, it will be quite epic.

However, it turns out that not everything is what results (thank you Lord, as this would have been quite embarrassing for the organizers of the Met Gala). The video was created using the “cry filter” as a component of a viral. trend on the TikTok platform (the hashtag has over 23 million perspectives and more), which distorts faces in a way that makes them feel like they’re making a dramatic, ugly scream.
Which is great, because now we feel much less guilty for finding it HILARIOUS. Oddly enough, the clearing doesn’t show up in the paintings on Pete’s face, which is why he escaped unharmed.
It turns out we’re not the only ones who find this fun. Kylie Jenner, who recently dropped serious hints about her baby’s name, FYI, shared the TikTok video on her own Instagram story, with 4 emojis crying with laughter and looking meaningfully. more cheerful than in the (fake) video).

The Kardashians are the only celebrities to have won the remedy #cryingfilter on Ray’s Instagram account. She has since posted a celebrity montage called “Making Unhappy Pt 1 Photos,” featuring Billie Eilish, Addison Rae, FINNEAS, Lizzo, and of course, other Kardashians (Kendall, Kylie Jenner, and Kim Kardashian).

The magic of filters, huh! It seems that not only are they clever at beautifying and turning users into cartoon versions of themselves, but they can also (with terrifying realism) change a person’s mood. Actually, it’s a bit heartbreaking, if you think about it.
Anyway, as long as everyone comes up with something funny and no one cries, we will be happy.
