One of the most anticipated Netflix releases of the year is the streamer’s adaptation of 3 Body Problem, the first post-Game of Thrones project from showrunners David Benioff and D. B. Weiss (joined here via Alexander Woo). The screen will hit the streamer on March 21, following Netflix’s shocking CES 2024 teaser reveal, the company’s first major presence at the annual Las Vegas tech expo since 2018.

Wang Miao agrees to help him, but soon begins to notice the life of a secret organization called the Frontiers of Science. He also begins to meet an elderly astrophysicist named Ye Wen Jie, the mother of one of the now-deceased scientists. Wang Miao digs deeper, makes notable warnings about events from the past, as well as a bizarre online virtual truth game called ‘Three-Body’. Could he bet on this uncommon game to help him and Shi Qiang get to the bottom of the secrets of suicides?And find out what the Frontiers of Science are really doing?
The Netflix series, on the other hand, is packed with top-notch actors. Cast members include Game of Thrones veterans like John Bradley and Liam Cunningham, as well as Eiza Gonzalez, Benedict Wong, and Jonathan Pryce. “The story,” explains Netflix’s Tudum site, “begins in China in the 60s, when a young woman makes a fateful decision that reverberates in space and time until the day of delivery.
“When nature’s legislation inexplicably collapses, a tight-knit organization of brilliant scientists will have to join forces with an unflinching detective to prevent humanity’s greatest threat. 3 Body Problem is an epic story that redefines sci-fi drama with its layered mysteries and story of human connection.
