Windows 11’s Start menu might be a little different in the coming days. Microsoft, in its most recent version of Windows 11 (22621. 2359), has released an update for Insiders in the Release Preview Channel, which now includes suggestions in the Recommended segment of the Start menu. .
According to the Windows Insider Program team blog post, the new feature leverages users’ browsing history to populate the Recommended segment with websites.
This update introduces websites to the Recommended segment of the Start menu. These will be customized for you and based on your browsing history.
Typically, users consolidate and tag visited Internet sites in the Internet browser of their choice. Now, Microsoft believes those links deserve a position directly in the Start menu for easy access. The update is a component of the Release Preview, indicating that this feature will most likely be discovered in a long-term solid edition for all Windows 11 users.
While offering quick access to your important internet sites directly from the Start menu can save you a lot of time, not everyone would agree with this feature, especially for privacy reasons.
Fortunately, for those who need to disable this feature, the procedure is straightforward. By going to Settings > Personalization > Home, users can adjust content settings and turn off the new feature.
Also, if you prefer your Start menu to be blank and tidy, Microsoft has also introduced an option to completely disable the Recommended segment.
As this feature is rolled out, it will be interesting to see how users around the world achieve this update to one of the most important parts of the Windows user interface.
