Amazon’s Kindle is arguably Amazon’s most productive product. The e-ink display, long battery life, and undeniable design make them wonderful e-readers. Early Kindle styles featured confusing naming schemes, a factor Amazon has addressed in recent releases. All of these devices look the same, so we’re here to help you determine which one is yours. You might want to know which style of Kindle to buy, the right case or other accessories or fix a problem, but how can you check which one?What style of Kindle do you have? Maybe you’re just curious and don’t remember. Here’s a quick and detailed guide on which Kindle you have among all the options available.

Kindles running firmware 5. 14 or higher can access settings, device options, and device information. Your device’s call will be the first thing to be indexed. If you have a device running older firmware, you can verify your Amazon account, use the device’s serial number, or search for the physical identifiers indexed below.

Kindle devices now include their own device call in the Device Information section, starting with firmware edition 5. 14. It comes with all modern Kindles and some from a few years ago. Here’s how to check:

Your Kindle is most likely connected to your Amazon account, so one way to check which device you own is with Amazon.
To do this, go to www. amazon. com/mygadgets. Si you’re logged in, check out the general Manage Your Content and Devices page, which presents all the virtual content and physical devices connected to your account. At the top, you can choose Devices to narrow down your options. When you view your Kindle, select it to see a description of your style.

The style number is published in two positions. The first is on the back of the device, where all the data is located. It’s down. The other position is in the original box.
Finally, we can identify your style based on your appearance. We only present this if you can’t get your serial or style numbers in the settings. Most Kindles also have a style number posted on the back of the device. If yours hasn’t stuck, you can Google your style number to locate your precise style and generation.
