If you are more interested in saving money than in fast shipments, then the new Electronic Commerce platform for Amazon customers could be for you. Amazon Haul is the last movement of the monopolist retailer to recover the market percentage of Chinese electronic cost platforms of ultra low and Shein cost costs.

In a press release from November, Amazon outlined how Amazon Haul will work: The mobile-only platform can be accessed via the existing Amazon Shopping app, where consumers will find a selection of apparel, accessories, cookware and home improvement items. Everything on the platform is under $20. What customers save in money, they pay for in shipping time. Most items arrive within one to two weeks after being purchased.

“Customers [say] they liked buying products at ultra basic costs, even if some of them take a week or two to arrive,” the press release said.

Amazon Haul is designed to attract buyers who want to save a few more dollars over a delivery time of a few weeks. But ultra-low-cost items also carry hidden costs, such as quality discounts and violations of hard labor laws, which are well documented through ultra-reasonable retailers.

The Amazon Haul platform in particular provides customer reviews or limited product data. The typical star rating formula you know from Amazon is only available in eligible pieces, but it’s not present on most products. Instead, the platform uses emojis to convey data such as best sellers and trends. Details are incredibly limited in data such as where products are made and what they are made of, but almost all parts are shipped directly from China.

All items are priced $20 or less with the majority priced $10 and under, and some items as low as just $1. Orders of $25 or more qualify for free delivery in one to two weeks, with a fee of $3.99 on orders under $25. Orders over $50 will get 5% off, and orders over $75 will get 10% off.

Taking a browse through the Amazon Haul section myself, I’d say it’s a destination for items you “want,” not items you “need.” For example, you’ll find face scrubbers but not face wash, and toothbrush holders but not toothpaste.

Although you probably deserve shoes that cost more than $ 12 or a necklace that costs more than $ 3, it is possible to find them (and many other “incredibly low prices”) in Amazon Haul if you are interested. Keep in mind that you must buy through its mobile application Amazon Shopping to use Amazon Haul. Amazon offers free returns for Haul products, but only within 15 days. Articles marked as “final sale” are not returnable or reimbursable.
