UAE industrial project visits Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania

The delegation aims to broaden and deepen economic relations.

ABU DHABI – An Emirati industry mission, led by the Deputy Minister of Economic and Trade Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdulnasser Jamal Alshaali, visited Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania from 8 to 14 May 2022. .

The UAE delegation included representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, the Ministry of Education, the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UAE FCCI), the Artificial Intelligence Bureau, Mubadala, Masdar, Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation, Abu Dhabi Economic Development Department, Khalifa Industrial Zone (KIZAD), Etihad Rail, Dubai FDI, Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai Future Foundation and Sharjah FDI, as well as Sharjah Research Technology and Innovation Park (SRTIP).

The delegation’s objective is to broaden and deepen economic relations, as well as to promote bilateral industry and investment.

During the visit, a number of agreements were signed, adding a Memorandum of Understanding between the United Arab Emirates and Finland in the field of energy; a Memorandum of Understanding between the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry; the final terms of reference of the UAE-Estonia Business Council; a Memorandum of Understanding between the FCCI of the United Arab Emirates and the Latvian Employers’ Confederation; a Memorandum of Understanding between SRTIP and the Red Jackets; and a Memorandum of Understanding between the FCCI of the United Arab Emirates and the Association of Lithuanian Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Crafts.

The delegation participated in a number of technical and high-level meetings, in addition to those held with the Minister of Economic Affairs of Finland, the Minister of Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade of Finland, the Prime Minister of Estonia, the Minister of Entrepreneurship and Information Technology of Estonia, the Minister of Economy of Latvia, the Minister of Economy and Innovation of Lithuania, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, the Deputy Minister of Economy and Innovation of Lithuania and the Mayor of Vilnius.

The delegation also made visits to the Helsinki Education Centre, Nokia, Wärtsilä and vilnius Municipality, and attended a number of key bilateral meetings, in addition to the UAE-Estonia Business Seminar, the 2nd Session of the UAE-Estonia Business Council and the Latvian Business Council. Forum.
