Twitter DOWN: A mysterious outage disconnects the app while Elon Musk is threatened

Twitter reportedly shut down this morning.

Most outages are reported in giant urban spaces such as New York, Houston and Los Angeles.

84% of reports come from users looking to log in to the Twitter website. Only 11% of reports are attributed to the app.

Failures in the fall detector service monitor have been reported and the cause is lately unclear.

These can be Twitter servers or the devices that other people use on the site.

Meanwhile, Elon Musk’s takeover deal is frozen as he negotiates with Twitter executives over bots on the platform.

Musk, 50, said the deal “can’t move forward” unless the social media giant can find out that less than five percent of users are bot accounts.

Despite his discussion with current Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal, Tesla’s CEO said he is “still committed to the acquisition. “

Twitter’s board of directors reportedly intends to comply with the agreement.

There is a clause in the agreement that states that whoever breaches the agreement will owe the other a one billion dollar termination fee.

Some reports speculate that Musk is freezing Twitter in an effort to get them to reduce its price.

CNBC notes that since Musk handed over $54. 20 percent to privatize Twitter, the company’s percentage value has fallen 23 percent.

The Twitter outage this morning peaked after 8:00 a. m. m. , Eastern Standard Time.
