Outdoor TV maker Sunbrite has announced a new style for the summer season: The Veranda 3 is a smart TV that ships with Android TV and built-in Wi-Fi and could borrow a spot from Samsung’s The Terrace on its terrace.
As a TV, the Veranda 3 gives it an IP55 rating that makes it resistant to water, rain, snow and dust, and its exterior is resistant to rust and corrosion. To mount it, the Veranda 3 series is compatible with SunBrite and corporate brackets. it sells fixed, tilting and full-motion wall mounting options, as well as bridge posts and ceiling mounts.
On the functionality side, the Veranda 3 uses a quantum dot layer that achieves over 1000 nits of brightness while watching 4K HDR content and supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos formats. There’s also enhanced IMAX on board if you need to watch videos in a 2. 39:1 ratio of full-screen facets.
The bad side? It’s not cheap. The Sunbrite Veranda 3 will be available in 3 lengths: 55, 65 and 75 inches, starting in June with a price of $2,900 for the smaller screen, while the 65- and 75-inch versions will cost $3,650 and $5,000, respectively.
While this price is a bit extravagant compared to 4K indoor-sized TVs, it exactly matches the scenario of other outdoor TVs in terms of cost. Samsung’s The Terrace, arguably one of the leaders in the space, even costs a little over $3,499 for its 55-inch model, $4,999 for its 65-inch model and $6,499 for its 75-inch model.
We’ll stack them clearly once we’ve looked at them, but, at least on paper, Sunbrite’s The Veranda 3 may become a competent and less beloved choice for others for a new outdoor TV this summer.
