The new coronavirus outbreak has fundamentally replaced travelers’ hotel stays. From contactless check-in to common cleanliness, hotels will want to demonstrate their security measures to attract travelers.
Marriott recently introduced a new resource to inform travelers about coVID-19-specific precautions taken at some hotels. The new “What to expect” page includes several drop-down lists detailing an individual institution’s policies, as well as a review of a device that is working (and don’t work) as usual.

For starters, it’s worth noting that this isn’t available in your portfolio, although more hotels are added regularly. To see if an express establishment has its own “What to expect”, simply check the hotel’s homepage on Marriott’s online page and look for “COVID-19 Updates and what to expect at our hotel”. Here is an example of St. Regis Deer Valley:
If an asset still has its own “What to expect” page, it will only have one edit of the first revision bar in the screenshot above.
For those who do, each page has the same welcome note that reads: “More than ever, we are passionate about delivering an exceptional experience and indeed memorable moments in your stay. In reaction to existing cases surrounding COVID – 19 pandemic, we have implemented a variety of new protocols and best practices, consistent with our main criteria for cleanliness and luxury service. “
“Let us inform you about some of the measures we have implemented and what to expect in our hotel regarding on-site and facility adjustments,” the note continues. “We are very happy to welcome you. “

After the introduction, you’ll see a set of expandable boxes with more details. While some refer to consistent corporate policies, others are property-specific, including:
You’ll see this on some Marriott Bonvoy brands like Ritz-Carlton and JW Marriott.
For example, the “What to Expect” page of the JW Marriott Anaheim Resort indicates that in-room food and tocca Ferro Italian Chophouse are closed, while the rooftop bar will reopen soon. If you are a coffee lover and enjoy a caffeine blowing in your room before starting the day, you are unlucky. According to the hotel, in-room coffee makers will be available upon request, a non-unusual phenomenon in the homes we have been looking for.
At the Ritz-Carlton New Orleans, room service will be non-contact and the hotel’s living room will provide entertainment.
Wondering why he only sees the feature in certain homes, a Marriott representative told TPG that he “focuses on full-service homes that provide more facilities and amenities,” adding that the number of places with that page is significant and growing he also showed that “all homes [are] intended to provide data in a combination of customer communication channels. “Therefore, even if that page does not exist for an individual property, it deserves to be no longer told of the measures taken. before your stay.

The coronavirus has devastated the industry and selling protection will be essential for passengers to return to hotel rooms or airplanes.
Hotel corporations like Marriott have been affected by the effects of coronavirus. Bethesda’s headquarters in Marriott, MD, filed a Notice of Reurbanization and Recycling of Works (WARN) on September 3 and announced up to 673 layoffs.
