Google is synonymous with Web search. Google’s share of the search order market is incomparable to that of other search engines. Google is far ahead of the rest, while the other search engines combined don’t account for a quarter of Google’s market share. Google Search is now seeing a decline in searches, while Bing is seeing the same trend globally and in the U. S. market.
Bing Search’s share increases by 2% at Google’s expense
Google is the gateway to the global world to locate what we want. However, due to several tweaks made through Google to its algorithm, the search effects are not what users wanted. Most of the effects on the first page come from sites like Reddit. , Quora, Medium, and forums, which only offer a discussion, not a solution.
Due to recent events in the technological world and the emergence of AI, Google has lost market share. Although Google is experimenting with features in its search, Bing is gaining the market share that Google has lost.
According to StatCounter, which tracks search engine market share, Google lost about 2% of its global search market, while Bing gained the 2% that Google lost.
Google owns almost 80% of the search market, while the rest of the search engines such as Bing, DuckDuckGo, Yahoo, YANDEX, etc. They settle for the remaining percentage. Microsoft has focused more on Bing and collaborated with OpenAI and implemented ChatGPT features in search. With the recent updates to Google Search, it has become difficult to find definitive answers to searches, but Bing turns out to have won by offering what the user wants.
If you also know that Google doesn’t offer acceptable search results, you deserve to use Bing for a day and see the difference. The Microsoft Edge browser even allows you to search with multiple search engines at the same time.
Google is unbeatable in terms of market share, but Bing’s small gain can be considered big and it is very likely that it will earn more in the future.
It would be attractive to see how those tech giants compete with the AI models they implement in their search engines and products to satisfy the desires of the user base.
