Sony has now revealed all of the January 2024 PlayStation Plus additions. It’s a wonderful start to the year for Sony subscribers, even if they’re limited to the Essentials selection. While many wonderful games will be joining PS Plus next week, PlayStation UK and Access may have leaked an old PS Plus Premium game for the future and it’s a PS1 horror.

PlayStation loyalists have a lot to look forward to in the year. The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered release date is just around the corner and the upcoming gaming schedule for 2024 includes 3 PlayStation console exclusives for the first quarter of 2024 only: Helldivers 2, Final. Fantasy VII Rebirth and Rise of Ronin. Not to mention, there are also a variety of perfect third-party cross-platform games, such as Persona 3 Reload and Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League.

All of the above is exciting, but there’s also a huge selection of games joining PS Plus next week. Sony announced some terrific titles, yet some original announcements may have leaked a future Premium classic.

PlayStation UK and Access would have possibly leaked Alone In The Dark: The New Nightmare for PS Plus Premium. It would sign up for the Premium subscription tier since it’s a PS1 game. This imaginable leak comes courtesy of Reddit user TURBO_THUNDER on the GamingLeaksAndRumors subreddit.

According to its Reddit post, PlayStation UK’s Twitter announcement for PS Plus Extra and Premium games in January 2024 included Alone In The Dark The New Nightmare. This tweet from PlayStation UK has been deleted, there are still replies commenting on the inclusion of the game.

In addition to PlayStation UK, the PlayStation Access YouTube channel featured Alone In The Dark in its PS Plus announcement video. Soon after, the video was removed and reposted with the clip removed from Alone In The Dark, but Twitter user _qubady_ captured a screenshot of the original post. While it’s not official, those removals suggest that a bug has occurred that could affect Sony’s subscription service in the future.

Assuming it arrives on PS Plus sometime in 2024, it would be a wonderful addition to the PS1. Horror games are some of the most productive PS1 titles of all time, and in fact, there are plenty of them on Sony’s subscription service. It would also be a laugh to play ahead of the Alone In The Dark remake scheduled for March.

In other PlayStation-related news, there’s still time to enter Sony’s contest to win a new PS5. A store has also indexed a PS5 DualSense V2 controller with significant value and improvement.
