Apple’s biggest upcoming AI features will arrive in iOS 18.4, with a heavy focus on Siri upgrades. But it’s the Vision Pro that I’m most excited to use those capabilities on. Here’s why.
Siri is in the midst of a transition period. Apple says we’ve entered ‘a new era’ for Siri, but that change is taking place over time.
So far, ChatGPT support has by far been the best part of this new Siri era.
But in some respects, the need for Apple to integrate OpenAI’s chatbot is only further evidence of Siri’s own shortcomings.
However, many of these deficiencies will soon be addressed through iOS 18. 4.
IOS 18. 4 will be introduced to all users in April and will be released in Beta Edition next month.
When it arrives, Siri will gain three new superpowers:
If those characteristics of the paintings as planned, and with the point of reliability, everyone expected (and yes, I am skeptical), they can be a change of play.
Siri can just even though everything becomes the type of intelligent assistant who intended to be.
But let me pivot the pro vision now, because this is where Siri’s adjustments can be attractive.
I’ve had the device for less than a month and haven’t used it yet due to holiday travel and turmoil.
But one thing that I discovered very temporarily the importance of Siri for the platform.
Spatial PC Science makes PC voice science more than ever.
On my iPhone and my iPad, my main PC devices, use Siri, but I don’t have the assistant.
Siri’s nice for quickly starting timers, setting reminders, and other small tasks.
But in Vision Pro, I discovered depending on Siri for many more things.
For example, Siri is my favorite for opening apps in Visisos.
Maybe it is a component of my visionary learning curve, but I place myself much faster and more intuitive to use Siri to navigate the system.
I never open programs with Siri on my other devices, but it works amazingly on Vision Pro.
Siri is my selection to dictate the answers of internal messages and mail too. Even if I have a hardware keyboard connected through Bluetooth, it is more herbal to dictate an answer.
Apple Intelligence is not yet compatible with Vision Pro, it probably arrives this year.
But it creates what the functions of iOS 18. 4 Siri can be as pro vision pro.
When Siri can run many complex programs and perceive what it is looking for and its non-public context, the area can begin to follow its sci-fi promise.
Siri updates will be suitable for the iPhone, but they can be only for Apple’s “science science. “
The dream of just speaking out loud to your computer, and having it take intelligent action for you, is starting to get more real.
Do you use Siri much on Vision Pro? What do you think about iOS 18.4’s upgrades coming to visionOS? Let us know in the comments.
