An election manifesto promising to establish a new National Archives institute in Ta’ Qali (unusually supported by both sides of the political department) was thrown away, despite a land title moving the land to the National Archives.
“The silver lining of this story is that the current government is still committed to fulfilling its election promise to create a national archive that meets the existing and long-term desires of the classic and new media. We will continue to insist that this happen and we will prepare all the mandatory reports to have facilities,” he said in his latest annual report.
