Microsoft is set to livestream its Xbox Developer Direct 2024 showcase. Several games will be presented this year, but the most exciting set will undoubtedly be the Indiana Jones game developed through MachineGames. We can’t wait to see our first look at the game, and the name of the Xbox game Indiana Jones would have possibly been discovered through online detectives.
The Xbox Developer Direct 2024 presentation is scheduled for January 18. It will feature Avowed from beloved Fallout New Vegas developer Obsidian Entertainment, and will also feature more of Ninja Theory’s Hellblade 2. Additionally, we will see Ara History Untold from Oxide Games. Those titles are expected to be registered on Xbox over the next 12 months.
We’ve noticed Avowed gameplay and many of Hellblade 2’s remarkable mocap performances. However, we haven’t seen anything from Indiana Jones other than a brief teaser. Thankfully, all of that is about to be updated next week, and you probably already know the name of the game.
The name finally discovered of the Indiana Jones game is Indiana Jones And The Great Circle. This is courtesy of Twitter user Kurakasis. According to his tweet, Lucasfilm registered the following domain names on January 29:
His tweet also states that Lucasfilm has registered the trademark “THE GREAT CIRCLE” in Europe with products and video games. Mobile is included, but it’s worth noting that this may simply be due to the fact that the games can be played on phones. via streamingArrayYou can see the logo on Euipo.
At the time of writing, this name is not official. All we know about the game is that it was developed through Wolfenstein developer MachineGames. It’s coming to PC, but it’s also exclusive to Xbox consoles thanks to Microsoft’s acquisition of Bethesda.
We haven’t seen anything other than a teaser trailer so far, but Microsoft says the upcoming Developer Direct will feature ‘more than 10 minutes of game and developer insights, including details about the game’s setting and story, how fans actually play as Indy, additional details from his next-globe trotting adventure, and the premiere of the first gameplay trailer’.
