Update 3:
Game replenished just before 1:30 p. m, and once back it lasted only a few seconds. Given the speed with which he disappeared, he suggests that they had only a handful or, more likely, all used robots to buy them at superhuman speeds.
Update 2:
The GAME online page is back online (at least at the time of writing) and the PlayStation 5 is out of stock again. It will definitely be there for a minute or two, long enough for other people, and certainly many robots, to hang up a console.
As usual, it all happened without GAME saying anything via Twitter, so lately it’s to say if they’ll get more today or in the near future.
However, there are rumors that Argos and Currys PC World may have inventory this week, so we’ll let you know if that happens. I hope it lasts longer with them than with GAME.
Update:
The reinventer took even less time than expected as GAME’s online page closed only a few seconds after inventory was available. He was there, as promised, for a few moments, but now we have to wait and see if GAME can make his site work again.
Original story:
The PS5 is now available through GAME in the UK, but it’s best to be fast, as inventory may not last long.
The long-awaited playstation five continues, but even if, at the time of writing, play five is in stock in GAME, it will only last a few minutes.
Even Xbox Series S inventory rarely lasts more than 30 minutes, and given the increased demand for PlayStation 5, it will likely last much less than that, some resources have reported that this replenishment might be higher than usual.
GAME has not said how much inventory it has, however, Sony has not indicated that the PlayStation 5 is about to be available in the UK, or anywhere else in the world.
Microsoft had warned in the past that the shortage of Xbox Series X can last at least until June, however, Sony never set a date for anything and playstation five is likely to be rare until long after that.
Most major stores are expected to gain new stock over the next week, and GAME and Currys have already had PlayStation 5 on sale for a short time.
Despite all this, the PlayStation 5 console can be easily obtained on eBay, but at particularly inflated costs starting at £700 or more.
This is the result of resellers using bot software to avoid online queues and purchase multiple consoles at once, reseller teams that encourage others to pay for subscriptions to use their bots.
GAME has tried to ensure that consumers take strong action against resellers, or at least their ability to purchase more than one console at a time.
