The Bank of Estonia (Eesti Pank) joins the annual Museum Night event on Saturday, August 29th with an audiovisual presentation, “presenting” 3 key figures of Estonia’s national awakening in the century.

The and politician Carl Robert Jakobson (1841–1882), the poet Lydia Koidula (1843–1886) and the pastor-folklor Jakob Hurt (1839-1907) appear on the program, according to the bank.

These old figures were included, respectively, in the notes of 500, one hundred and 10 kronor, when the Estonian currency before the euro, the krone, flowed (1992-2010).

The report, which covers the history of coins and banknotes issued in Estonia, is scheduled for review 3 times at 6:15 p.m. 7:30 p.m. and nine o’clock at night, in the Talupojasaal Hall of the Bank Museum in Estonia pst 11. The screening lasts 25 minutes and is followed by a contest, which includes prizes.

Jaakson (1870-1942), former governor of the state and a bank of the first republic, also made an “appearance” in a quiet deployment written through Loone Ots.

The permanent exhibition of the bank presenting the Estonian currency of the First Republic (1918-1940) will be inaugurated and after the recovery of independence in 1991.

The Night of the Museums is an annual occasion in which museums and other heritage sites open their doors for free and later than usual.
