Price to be used to expand virtual reality equipment for seafarer familiarization and workforce training

BOSTON, June 1, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — The U. S. Secretary of Energy is the U. S. Secretary of Energy. Jennifer Granholm announced that VinciVR Inc. received $200,000,259 grants from the Department of Energy totaling $53 million for 210 small businesses in 38 states.
“Supporting small businesses will ensure that we leverage the full skill of the U. S. “We are in the U. S. to expand blank energy technologies that will enable us to address the climate crisis,” said Steve Binkley, acting director of DOE’s Office of Science. “Doe’s investments will enable those economic engines to optimize and commercialize their advances, while creating the next generation of clinical leaders and ensuring America’s clinical and economic competitiveness that will benefit all Americans. “
Through the federally-wide SBIR/STTR program, small businesses drive the U. S. economy. They generate thousands of jobs, either directly or indirectly. The DOE Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) awards aim to support clinical and technological advances in viable products and services.
VinciVR Inc. will get $200,000 to work with offshore expanders, disadvantaged communities and exercise organizations to expand a portable virtual truth (VR) exercise tool for boaters that simulates offshore wind farms in a variety of weather conditions. This will help sailors navigate/operate through a wind farm before the structure begins. In addition, Vinci partnered with IWNL LLC, led by Siemens Gamesa’s former director of training, Dr. Susan S. Cynthia Brown, to design a virtual tool that allows staff to clean offshore wind quarries and use the virtual reality exercise whenever they want. Recently, Vinci offers virtual reality equipment for the offshore wind energy exercise; those planned expansions will further recruit, exercise, and retain the workforce over the long term.
