Corsair has produced a plethora of gaming devices over the years: mice, keyboards, headphones, parts, and even entire PCs. As of May 23, the company has officially added gaming laptops to its list.
The Corsair Voyager a1600 looks like a rugged laptop, with high-end parts and a design that makes the difference between working and playing. The Voyager a1600 probably isn’t cheap, but it deserves to be able to handle the latest creative games. and software suites while running at an elegant pace. It doesn’t look much like a classic gaming laptop, though, due to its hinge design.
Corsair announced the Voyager a1600, and you can read all about it on Corsair’s official website. The company provides a brief review of the device:
“Whether you’re a content creator, an avid gamer, or a full-time streamer, the Corsair Voyager a1600 combines state-of-the-art AMD Advantage technologies with Corsair’s most productive functionality engineering to bring your creativity to life and deliver an ultraportable. gaming experience,” the site explains.
While you still can’t pre-order the computer, you can upload your email address to a Voyager mailing list; Corsair will provide additional updates in the coming months.
However, we know the specifications of the system, thanks to a separate press release:
The device will have two separate SKUs: CN-9000003-XX for the $2,700 style and CN-9000004-XX for the $3,000 style. Potential buyers will not combine and adjust processor, RAM or storage; the low-end styling will have the low-end specs, while the high-end styling will have the high-end specs.
We cannot, with intelligent faith, call one or the other “low-end. “They are quite sophisticated, just like gaming laptops.
Corsair has set the device’s availability to “a later date. “Hopefully, this later date will be positioned in the coming months, but with the origin chain issues besetting the PC market, it’s still a bit hard to say.
It’s also worth noting that the Voyager a1600 is quite different from a popular gaming laptop. There is a visual area between the hinge and the cover, which makes the device look more like a productivity machine. There’s also a touch bar, which monitors battery life. and provides users with an additional row of hotkeys. Corsair theorizes that this touch bar will be especially useful for streamers, who will be able to use it with the Elgato Stream Deck software.
The keyboard is also worth discussing, as you get authentic Cherry MX mechanical switches, as well as per-key RGB lighting. The Voyager a1600 is possibly seen as a productivity device on the outside, but once you open it, there are gears that only players expect to see.
According to the spec sheet, the Voyager a1600 has impressive parts and can theoretically run the most games in QHD with the highest setting. , we may not know until we can see it firsthand.
Tom’s Guide will have a full review of the Voyager a1600 at launch to see if it has what it takes to be on our list of gaming laptops.
