The AYANEO Next Lite is AYANEO’s cheapest x86-processor gaming laptop to date. . . and one of the least forceful. It has the same processor features as the company’s 2021 laptops, as the newer chips imposed by the most modern laptops designed for gaming. .
But AYANEO believes that the starting price of $299 will still turn heads. The AYANEO Next Lite is now available for purchase on the AANEO website.
At the moment, the only model available to buy includes an AMD Ryzen 5 4500U processor, 16GB of RAM, and a 5-12GB SSD. It’s on sale for $299 for the first hundred consumers as part of an Early Bird promotion.
After that, the price of this model is expected to reach US$349.
Over time, AYANEO also plans to offer a Ryzen 5 4500U/16GB/128GB model at a base price of $299 and a Ryzen 7 4800U/16GB/512GB model at $399 for other people who need a little more performance. But none of those configurations are available to acquire yet.
All versions of the small PC feature a 7-inch 1280 x 800 pixel IPS LCD screen, 16 GB of LPDDR4x-4266 memory, an M. 2 2280 slot for a PCIe 3. 0 SSD, a 47 Wh battery, a card Intel AX200 wireless with for WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5. 2, and a set of ports that include:
The formula includes two copper heat pipes and a fan for cooling, joysticks with Hall sensor and shoulder triggers, a 6-axis gyroscope, and two X-axis linear motors.
While AYANEO had initially planned to ship the AYANEO Next Lite with a third-party SteamOS build called HoloISO as a way to keep costs low, the company quickly reversed course and announced that the computer would ship with Windows 11 Home instead.
But I still can’t help but feel that even the $299 starting price is rarely low enough to tempt other people looking for a budget option aside from the Steam Deck, which lately starts at $349 and offers increased graphics and software support. I’m guessing some consumers might prefer the AYANEO Next Lite because of its Hall effect sensors or Windows software, and it’s great to see some other affordable option in this space. It would be even better if it had a newer processor with better graphics.

You can play old games. . . since it’s a 32-bit machine.
Are they simply looking to get rid of their old Next equipment that is in storage?Is there anything else between the old Next and this Next “Lite”?
The only other people I see buying this are places where the Steam Deck is rarely sold very officially, so getting a Steam Deck would be very expensive for low-end gaming requirements. I’m guessing it can be a significant number of other people for a small business like Ayaneo.
I guess there are also Asus and Lenovo portable devices that you can get all over the world.
$349 as an average value turns out to be very poor value for money, given that the Z1 edition of the Asus ROG Ally has been on sale for $399 for some time now.
Does SteamDeck boot up now for $349? For me, the lowest price on steamdeck. com is indexed at $399 for the 256GB style (and that’s a real $100 difference).
