The 13. 5-inch HP Spectre x360 convertible, a 3:2 display and a 5MP webcam

The new 13. 5″ HP Spectre x360 Pocketbook is a 3-pound convertible with a 12th generation Intel Core U-series processor, supporting up to 32GB of RAM and 2TB of storage, and a 66Wh battery.

As a component of HP’s Spectre line of premium computers, it features a sleek design and great extras like quad speakers and an optional OLED display. But what sets it apart from previous members of Spectre’s circle of relatives is that this computer has a screen with a 3:2 aspect ratio.

HP offers a choice of 1920 x 1280 pixel IPS LCD or 3000 x 2000 pixel OLED touchscreens. Both have bezels for a screen-to-body ratio of 90. 1%.

Aside from the screen, the computer also has a larger webcam than most. HP has provided the Spectre x360 13. 5 with a 5MP IR webcam that works with HP camera software to help you watch better video calls with features like auto framing (keeping it in frame when moving), automatic backlight adjustment, AI noise reduction, and dynamic voice leveling.

There’s also a shutter that covers the camera when you’re not.

Prices start at $1250 for a style with an Intel Core i5-1235U processor, 8GB of LPDDRfourx-four266 RAM, and 512GB of PCIe Gen four solid-state storage, but the computer supports up to a Core i7-1255U chip, 32GB of memory, and 2TB of storage.

The RAM is soldered to the motherboard, by the way, so it is not scalable by the user. This means that if you need more than the 8GB of basic memory, you need to pay more to buy a computer that comes with 16GB or 32GB pre-installed.

The ports come with two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a USB 3. 2 Gen 2 Type-A port, a headphone jack, and a microSD card reader. And the computer comes with an HP Tilt pen with pressure-sensitive input that employs Microsoft Pen Protocol 2. 0.

Other features come with WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5. 2, a fingerprint reader, and a 65-watt USB Type-C charger that can charge the battery from 0% to 50% in forty-five minutes.

The 13. 5″ HP Spectre x360 has a steel structure made of recycled aluminum, and HP claims the keyboard keys were also made from post-consumer recycled plastic. It measures 11. 73″ x 8. 68″ x 0. 67″ and weighs 3. 01 pounds.

HP is also launching a new 16-inch Spectre x360 pocket computer that features an Intel Core i7-12700H processor, optional for Intel Arc A370M graphics, and 3072 x 1920 pixel IPS LCD demo or 3840 x 2400 pixel OLED demo features (meaning the larger style has a 16:10 demo).

This 16-inch computer has an 83Wh battery, measures 14. 09″ x 9. 66″ x 0. 78″ and has an initial weight of 4. 45 pounds. It’s available starting today for $1650 and more at HP and Best Buy.
