Tesla’s long-awaited soda has been introduced in China.
We knew the car along the way due to many prototype sightings (maximum camouflaged) that were tested on roads around the world, and it is not yet known when it reaches the United States or Europe, but now it must be taken to the maximum of Asia, Adding China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Korea. It must also be had in Australia, New Zealand and the Philippines.
There is no official announcement in writing this article: Nor Tesla, Tesla Asia or the CEO Elon Musk have tweeted anything in the new model. But we can pass through the specific specifications and photographs to give it the maximum of details, and that is precisely what we have done.
This is the model and Facelift, the first main news of the maximum popular electric car of Tesla since its launch in 2019. The so -called “Juniper” only a code call, and is not officially used anywhere in the Tesla website, So the new edition is still called Tesla Model Y.
However, Tesla labels the model and lately that it will be taken as a “launch series” and calls it a limited version. It is probably more commonly over activity time as corporate production increases, but you get some benefits if it happens with the launch series version; More about that below.
Although the new style is not a complete difference compared to the old design, the car remains approximately the same form and the same length as before, it represents a primary design review. And this is a big problem, because at some point it is the maximum popular car in the global (electric or other), which means that there is a very giant user base that awaits what Tesla did with its circle of motorist relatives.
The adjustments come with absolutely new and upper head accessories, connected to a soft strip on the front of the car hood. In the rear, it is essentially the new accessories of model 3 connected to a red bar. I have been updated with new upper vents, which concludes the primary design settings. Look a lot and see new main points, as soft accessories in the curves in the appearance mirrors and a front camera in the bumper, but from a distance it remains the one that remains the same car, just a little more angry.
The similarities with Tesla’s Cybertruck and Cybercab, which also sport the light bar headlights, should be noted. Will this thing become known as Baby Cybertruck? Hopefully not, but we cannot guarantee it.
As for the wheels, they differ according to the region. In China, for example, buyers can choose between 19 -inch, black and “storm interactive” tires (I used the translation of the device in Chinese, so I took those names with a salt grain), or the 20 -inch wheels, Silver Money, “Spiral Storm”. In Australia, however, there is only one option: the “Helix 2. 0″ tires of 20 inches, which seem to be the same as the variant ” Spiral Storm “in China.
Five colors are on offer. In Australia, the choice is between Pearl White Multi-Coat, Glacier Blue (new), Stealth Grey, Quicksilver, and Ultra Red. In China, the choices appear to be the same with slightly different names.
Glacier blue is a completely new color, which replaces the deep blue metal. It is a lovely blue, softer and lighter, it turns out to be the type of color that you really want to see in the user to perceive the precise tone.
Interesting note: In Australia, all colors are included with the value of the car. In China, you will have to pay up to 12,000 yuan ($ 1,636) for anything other than “Star Gray”.
The selection of internal colors is simple: all black or white and white. As for the seats, you only get one option, and it is the variant of five seats. The new style must be taken with seven or maybe even six seats in the future, but, unfortunately, it has not yet happened.
Inside, there’s no radical replacement either: you get the popular and absolutely circular guide wheel (no yoke wheel here), a giant landscape screen placed in the middle, and a rumble. . . it is not just to look at.
However, there are a significant number of new details here if you look closely. These include the ambient light strips, an additional display in the back, and the absence of the gear-shifting stalk behind the steering wheel, though the indicator stalk appears to still be present.
Tesla also says the cabin is quieter than before thanking the new acoustic glass. The seats are now ventilated and the rear seats are electric and can be extended via an urgent button.
Only two editions are offered, and that is the rear traction and the total long -range traction. The functionality edition is missing.
With rear-wheel drive, you get a diversity of 466km (WLTP estimate in Australia), a more sensible speed of 201km/h and a time of 5. 9 seconds from 0 to one hundred km/h. The value starts at 63,400 AUD ($39,275).
Publish to the long traction of all time and get an additional engine and a traction for the entire wheel. You also get 551 km of diversity (again, WLTP estimate in Australia), 2010 of the most sensible speed and an acceleration of 4. 3 seconds from 0 to one hundred km / h.
The clutter figure is a modest improvement (in Australia, previous beach figures were 455km for the rear-wheel-drive style and 533km for the long-range style).
The acceleration is also better: 1. 0 seconds faster from 0 to one hundred km / h for the RWD variant and 0. 7 seconds faster for the LRAWD version. But there is a warning: the style release style is supplied with the update of the optional acceleration software, so they hope it will go when popular launch cars are sold.
As for the batteries inside, Tesla doesn’t share specs, but it’s probable that the batteries are the same as before, and that the range improvements are due to various efficiency optimizations.
Similar to what we saw with the update of model 3 Highland in September 2023, a long list of minor innovations in the model and:
Updated suspension, wheels, and tires — should provide a smoother and quieter ride. In numbers, that’s 22 percent less road noise, 20 percent less suspension impact noise, and 20 percent less wind noise.
Front bumper camera — should improve parking as well as driver assistance features, including Autopilot and Full Self-Drive driving.
15. 4-inch touchscreen: a small building in the latest 15-inch touchscreen
8 -inch touch senator on the back
Improved phone key
Faster cellular and Wi-Fi connectivity, such as higher call quality
Acoustic glass, contributing to the aforementioned noise reductions
Furthermore, exclusive to the Launch Series, in Australia you get:
Hit-talor rear flag with a new logo that reaches speed
Light Charco Badge
Doorsill plate watermark saying “Launch Series”
Loading the console’s “Launch Series” console
Interior fabrics in vegan suede if you are the interior all black
The launch date varies according to the region. In China, for example, Tesla states that deliveries will begin in March. In Australia, however, deliveries begin in May.
As for the pricing, the new version is more expensive than before. For example, the starting drive away price for the old Model Y was 60,872 AUD ($37,693). Now, the starting drive away price is 68,770 AUD ($42,596). That’s roughly a 12 percent increase — a significant change and a good reason to consider the old Model Y, which is still available but will likely go away when Tesla’s inventory is depleted. Prices vary by market, so the pricing difference might be different depending on your region. Also, when the Launch Series limited edition is sold out, the prices of the regular Model Y might turn out to be different.
There is no official word on this subject. To judge through the launch dates (in two months as very early, and in 4 months in safe regions), Tesla probably does not have enough stock to start promoting the new Mass. Tesla does not have official press communications, so we cannot obtain direct answers, however, our most productive assumption is that the car can be had in other regions in a few months.
Development. . .
