Demonstration of NASA’s CubeSat Proximity Operations (CPOD), educational and maintenance flight employing a pair of 3-unit (3U) CubeSats, taking advantage of their inherent reduction in vehicle and release costs.
NASA Pathfinder Technology Demonstrator 3 (PTD-3)PTD-3 is a 6-unit (6U) CubeSat built and incorporated through Terran Orbital to house, release and orbit consistently with the NASA-funded TeraByte InfraRed Delivery (TBIRD) payload. Space Communications and Navigation (SCaN) and evolved through the MIT Lincoln Laboratory (MIT LL). The TBIRD project is the current project in the PTD series funded through nasa’s Space Technology Mission Directorate Small Spacecraft Technology Program. The project will demonstrate an ability to move area -to-to-file data by orders of magnitude faster than in technologies demonstrated in the past. This generation can open the doors to high-volume data communications and data access for the exploration of complex areas, offering several data terathroughts per day at a single level. season.
Fleet Space CENTAURI-5 The CENTAURI-5 spacecraft is a component of a constellation commissioned through Fleet Space Technologies to provide global connectivity responses in components designed for the energy, exploration and resource industries. Tyvak International, a Terran Orbital Corporation, designed and developed the spacecraft. Fleet Space supplies the payload which is comprised of the world’s first 3D published all-metal patch antenna array combined with S-band virtual beamforming.
GeoOptics CICERO-2 Vehicle 1 and Vehicle 2GeoOptics Vehicles 1 and 2 are the first phase of a next-generation satellite constellation, CICERO-2, to shape a unified ground-based observatory that allows governments, industry and individual stakeholders to monitor and prepare for the many effects of climate change. These 6U XXL-length spacecraft were designed and developed through Terran Orbital’s foreign branch, Tyvak International, in Turin, Italy. GNSS) and is a miniaturized edition of the “TriG” payload developed through NASA/JPL.
“Terran Orbital designs, builds and integrates satellite responses that help solve some of the world’s most complex problems,” said Marc Bell, co-founder, president and CEO of Terran Orbital. “CPOD, PTD-3, CENTAURI-5 and CICERO-2 cars feature revolutionary technologies that will gain great advantages in the way we measure and practice activity on Earth. Sharing this knowledge in aid of long-term project functions will ultimately save money and we look forward to strengthening our partnerships with NASA, GeoOptics, Fleet Space, MIT Lincoln Laboratories and SpaceX as we continue to deliver innovative and life-changing projects.
