Tenn. The woman renews her driver’s license, only to get an ID of the empty chair

Many other people worry about how they look in their driver’s license photo, however, that was not the biggest fear of a Tennessee woman when she recently renewed her license.

Instead of receiving the new ID with her photo on the front, Jade Dodd won a license with a photo of an empty chair, she wrote in a Facebook post.

“Currently waiting with the [Department of Motor Vehicles] as that’s what I gained in the mail when I renewed my LicenseArray.. ? ♀️,” he subtitled the publication of August 5 of his hilarious licensing accident.

Dodd, who lives at Bon Aqua Junction, told ABC associate WKRN that many others did not know her when she pointed out that there was an error with her license.

“I was with my mom and we were going to lunch and I said, ‘You have to see this, it’s not right,'” Dodd recalls, adding that “The DMV girl didn’t really know me when I thought, “Hey, I want to fix my license.””

“Then he looked at the formula and said, “Oh, I want my manager for that, ” he added in the local environment.

While many were surprised to see an image of the empty chair, Dodd said others had discovered that the incident was funny.

“My boss thinks it’s more fun than anyone,” he told WKRN. “I was in paintings on Friday and he pointed out an outdoor chair at his workplace door and said, ‘I believe it, I shake it this morning’ and thought ‘Thank you.’

“One of my colleagues said to me, “Save it in a photo frame, you can use it as a wall ornament and it’s a cause of verbal exchange when you’re dining,” Dodd added.

Dodd’s colleagues weren’t the only ones who laughed at the situation. After posting the photo on Facebook, where it went viral with more than 19,000 shared, users began creating memes with the image.

Dodd posted some of them on his page, appearing shots of the chair photographed the steering wheel of a car, on a polling place labeled “I voted,” buying beer at a convenience store and on several movie posters.

There is also one who joked with Violet from Disney Pixar’s Indestructibles had received her license because her character is able to become invisible in the film.

“People send me memes they’ve created and say happy birthday to me,” he shared with WKRN. “It was strange.”

After having the proper DMV officers in his hands, Dodd, despite everything, was able to fix everything and won his proper license on Monday.

In a message to WKRN, the Tennessee Department of Homeland Security and Homeland Security explained how the photo error happened and noted that this was the first time something like this had happened.

“When the visitor visited the driving force facility center a few years ago, during the transaction, an examiner made a mistake in capturing and recording the wrong photo [of an empty chair] in the visitor’s profile,” he said. “When the visitor recently renewed her online power license, she won the symbol of a chair because it was the last photo taken on the record.

“When the Department became aware of its scenario, we without delay resolved the issues with the consumer and gave it a license with its actual photo and resolved this scenario internally,” he continued.

A spokesman for tennessee’s Department of Homeland Security and Homeland Security did not respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
