During the COVID-19 pandemic, self-service has become more critical than ever and some chains are looking for new tactics to make their processes more efficient, either by combining menus or providing help on the street. Taco Bell is one of the companies that discovers new tactics to help its enthusiasts in this difficult time, and the company now has a new concept of place to eat in process that reinvents the way we handle the service.
The new configuration is called “Go Mobile” and comes with a number of features that will make Taco Bell orders faster and safer. It will come with two lanes, wheel and smart cooking technology, but the area itself will be much smaller than a classic Taco Bell restaurant. In fact, it will be about a part of the length of a Taco Bell that has a dining room, because the purpose is that those Go Mobile places only serve the guide wheel.
Go Mobile also aims to optimize Taco Bell’s initial system. In any of the service lanes behind the wheel, one will serve as a priority pickup lane for those who have ordered online in advance. In addition, there will be an option for street pickup workers and buttons with shelves that will speed up the ordering procedure for those who place their orders on site.
The first Go Mobile Taco Bell location may not be open for a few months right now, but Taco Bell is starting to implement some of those new handy features at existing restaurants right now. Taco Bell President and Taco Bell Global General Manager Mike Grams said in a press release that all those adjustments were made with the visitor in mind.
“With the request for our driving service at a record level, we know that adapting to meet the ever-changing desires of our consumers has never been more important,” he said.
