SpaceX’s launch in Florida was seen as far away as New York, Massachusetts

Sept. 24 (UPI) — Elon Musk’s SpaceX sent 52 Starlink satellites into low-Earth orbit Saturday as the company continues its weekly launches to expand its constellation.

The first level landed on the A Shortfall of Gravitas drone stationed in the Atlantic Ocean about nine minutes later. In the past it introduced SES-22 and two Starlink missions.

People reported seeing the launch as Cape Cod in Massachusetts, as well as in New York, New Jersey and Maryland, sharing images on social media of the rocket in the sky.

SpaceX has introduced more than 3,340 satellites into low-Earth orbit with 2,499 operational, according to a tracker.

Last weekend, SpaceX introduced 34 satellites into low-Earth orbit with AST SpaceMobile’s BlueWalker 3 satellite.

“Called SpaceMobile, this ultra-powerful network is designed to deliver connectivity at 4G/5G speeds anywhere on the planet, on land, at sea and in flight,” the company said. AST SpaceMobile is located in Midland, Texas.
