The Federal Aviation Administration of the USA (FAA) has banned the Flying Spacex Starship rocket. The explanation of why for this is the explosion of the spacecraft in the Atlantic the last verification flight. Now we are investigating what went wrong and if the rubble caused damage.
Starship’s final verification flight ended in a complete loss and the rocket exploded. About 8 and a half minutes after liftoff from the SpaceX site in Texas, the rocket’s upper tier ruptured and jammed fire. The debris fell into the Caribbean Sea, most likely populated areas.
In reaction to the incident, Federal Aviation Aviation of the United States (FAA) has imposed the basis of the transition of the vessel system. Spacex will have to conduct in -depth investigation into the cause of the accident. It was only after the FAA verified the effects and approved imaginable corrections that the rocket can take off.
The CEO of Spacex, Elon Musk, expressed his confidence despite the reverse. On his social media platform X, he wrote:
The first indicates an oxygen / fuel leak in the hollow space on the motor wall wall. Elon Musk, CEO of Spacex
He speculates that the next launch attempt may take position as soon as next month. As the BBC reports, the FAA activated a so-called “debris reaction zone” after the explosion. Air traffic in this domain was temporarily limited or diverted to save it collisions with falling debris. As a result, several planes had to move to other airports due to lack of fuel.
There are reports of imaginable assets injured in the Turkish islands and caicos of the portions of rockets that fall. FAA is running with the local government to determine those reports. Injuries have not been informed so far.
The Starship system, consisting of the Super Heavy launch vehicle and the eponymous spaceship, is 123 meters high and is the largest rocket ever built. SpaceX plans to use them for manned missions to the Moon and Mars.
NASA is also using a modified version as a lunar module as part of its Artemis lunar missions. However, the latest failure shows that the ambitious missile system is not yet ready for regular operations. It was the seventh test flight since 2023 in which problems occurred.
