KENNEDY SPACE CENTER – The weekend began with SpaceX’s launch of 20 Starlink satellites very early Friday morning.
The Falcon 9 rocket introduced the Starlink 10-6 project from Kennedy Space Center’s Launch Complex 3nineA, SpaceX said.
Liftoff occurred at 1:01 a. m. ET, but originally the launch window was scheduled to open at 12:19 a. m. ET and close at 4:19 a. m. ET.
This is the twelfth project for the Falcon 9’s top-tier B1078 booster. It has completed 11 projects, adding one manned:
After the levels separated, the rocket from the first level landed on the A Shortfall of Gravitas drone that will be in the Atlantic Ocean.
The company’s 23 Starlink satellites will be sent to low Earth orbit to provide internet to many regions of the Earth.
SpaceX owns the company Starlink.
