Elon Musk plans to build a complex near SpaceX’s Texas facility as a component of his purpose to transform the small village of Boca Chica into a “21st century spaceport.”
The plans were revealed in a task to be offered and will be published online over the weekend for a station progression manager, whose role will be to “monitor the progression of the first SpaceX complex from its inception to completion.”
The newest concept of the eccentric entrepreneur comes after infuriating local citizens in the area, some compared the sound of rocket launches to being “living” in a ‘war zone’ and others accused SpaceX of seeking to intimidate them into leaving their homes.

The successful candidate for the newly created Resort Development Manager position will be responsible for managing the design, architecture and structure of the area’s first company complex.
They will be in Brownsville, where SpaceX is arriving and testing Starship, its rocket that aims to bring another hundred people to the Moon and Mars and realize Musk’s dream of building a city for humans to live on Mars.
The task on offer includes the company’s noble purpose of “allowing others to live on other planets” and includes transforming the town of Boca Chica into a spaceport as a component of the process.
