January 11 (UPI) – Tesla withdrew more than 239,000 of its electrical cars 3, S, X and and due to software disorders that can deactivate their delay cameras.
A small percentage of models removed from the market has a short circuit failure on their on -board computers that affects the loss of their backup cameras, which can only the visibility of the drivers when making a backup.
The loss of the rearview camera increases the potential for a collision but could be overcome by performing a shoulder check and using side and rearview mirrors.
Tesla initiated the recall after learning about the challenge on Nov. 21 when it observed a build-up in the number of car PC replacements due to short circuits in component number one or secondary force.
Tesla engineers investigated the case from Nov. 26 to Dec. 20 and learned that the low-voltage versions of the battery and the old appliance and firmware versions.
Tesla engineers have tracked with older software versions and affected express models before voluntarily recalling vehicles.
Until now, the challenge has caused 887 to guarantee judicial cases and 68 reports presented, however, Tesla engineers do not know collision, injuries or deaths through the software challenge.
Tesla, on December 18, rolled out live software updates to properly challenge the free of charge challenge for vehicle owners.
The software update addresses the short circuit by modifying the switching series on the affected vehicle to save you from a short circuit failure without any further action required.
Tesla also addressed the matter in vehicles under production starting on Dec. 16.
Tesla began telling the owners and retail media and the Tesla service centers of the challenge on Wednesday.
The recall affects more than 239,000 Tesla vehicles, however, the over-the-air software update removes the need to carry them in for maintenance.
