Snap Inc. has announced a new content partnership with News Corp Australia, Australia’s number one news platform, news. com. au, and Vogue Australia in Snapchat’s Stories offering.

Australians will be able to access general and celebrity information, as well as fashion and lifestyle updates through the platform, as the two posts sign up for more than 900 Snapchat partners.

Snap CEO Tony Keusgen said, “More advertisers, creators and businesses are turning to mobile content to engage with the next generation. Our collaboration with News Corp Australia will have a massive impact on our Australian Snapchatters, who care about the global around them and take a look at iconic news and fashion brands like news. com. au and Vogue Australia to keep them informed.

“We are excited to continue expanding Australian content on Snapchat, which will indeed resonate with our local community. “

Kanishk Khanna, director of APAC content partnerships at Snap, added: “We are excited to be working with Australia’s largest publisher to bring the country’s favourite content to the country’s mobile screens. Our development investment to bring more high-quality Australian content from Snapchat’s premium partners provides Snapchatters with news, entertainment and inspiration.

News Corp Australia will use the platform to deliver mobile-generated “snack” content to its audience, according to Nicholas Gray, managing director of subscriptions and generation partnerships.

“Snapchat’s popularity among young Australians offers new opportunities to showcase our content to this key demographic,” Gray said.

Lisa Muxworthy, editor-in-chief of news. com. au, added: “We know that virtual natives are very involved with existing news and issues, as well as entertainment and lifestyle content. They need the data to come from a source they can accept as true and be provided in a way that is applicable, engaging, applicable and fun.

“Partnering with Snap on the Stories platform means news. com. au can succeed in those audiences where it needs to inform, entertain and motivate Snapchatters with the latest news and trends. “
