Sega announces Astro City Mini to satisfy your cravings for ancient arcade games

After SNK’s incredible Neo Geo Mini, Sega did the same with his own miniature microconsole arcade game, the Astro City Mini.

Astro City’s original wardrobe was a staple of Japanese game rooms in the 1990s and influenced the design of the stick and the six buttons in the following years.

Like the Neo Geo Mini, the Astro City Mini supports separate controllers as well as HDMI output and will offer a total of 36 classic arcade titles.

The initial list of games released through Sega includes Alien Syndrome, Alien Storm, Golden Axe, Golden Axe: The Revenge of Death Adder, Columns II, Dark Edge, Puzzle – Action: Tant-R, Virtua Fighter, Fantasy Zone and Altered Beast. .

Overall, it’s a pretty fake programming, but I don’t know why Sega included Columns II here, because it wasn’t exactly a brilliant beacon of what Sega represented in the 1990s.

That’s the point here, for the younger generation of players, Sega is just a game editor in those days, however, in the 80s and 90s, he was a giant of arcade hardware and consoles. Push the technical and functional limits of what video games can be.

So this little Astro City Mini is an edition if only to ratify what made Sega so incredibly amazing.

The Astro City Mini will be released in Japan in December for 12,800 yen (about $119), and an additional game controller will sell for 2,780 yen (about $26).
