Joule’s Generative AI Copilot will integrate with Copilot to improve productivity, manage tasks, and facilitate seamless collaboration between teams.

How many co-pilots does a company need to succeed? This is the question they ask Philipp Herzig, director of Artificial Intelligence at SAP.

“The answer is very simple,” he says. The answer is how much, but which one to use and when. ”

The transformative force of AI solutions, specifically Joule and Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365, was the focus of SAP’s annual Sapphire event in June. Here, the company announced that Joule and Copilot will be incorporated into the workflow of the joint customers.

Like Copilot, Joule extracts insights from a company’s business knowledge and provides intelligent answers to users. You can manage responsibilities such as money flow, determine compliance needs, create reports, and provide strategic recommendations through knowledge analysis and device learning.

SAP’s partnership with Microsoft plays a vital role in amplifying the effect of the two co-pilots to improve productivity and power for users and organizations.

“The deep two-way integration will allow painters to do more on their paintings with seamless access to data from interactions with business programs in SAP as well as Microsoft 365,” says Herzig. “We designed AI programs and equipment with one core precept in mind: unlock more commercial prices than ever before. ”

For AI to be useful to end users, SAP says it must integrate seamlessly into the natural workflow, eliminating the need to transfer between platforms and applications, and produce meaningful results. For example, a user can book a flight using the SAP Concur and expense control facility platform, and Joule can lock his calfinishar in Microsoft Outlook. Communication can also be improved. Joule can leverage Copilot to upload team members to Microsoft Teams channels so everyone can stay up to date with the latest information.

By integrating Joule and Copilot, users can use the functions of either of them to make their drawings. And long-term two-way integration plans will allow users to enjoy a consistent experience, regardless of the co-pilot they use.

“Leveraging the enormous potential that AI has to offer requires high-value, reliable, and contextually available features in the programs that other people use today,” says Muhammad Alam, board member and head of product engineering at SAP. “The integration of Joule and Microsoft Copilot will enable workers to do more with seamless access to data from business programs in SAP and Microsoft 365. ”

By combining the strengths of SAP and Microsoft, the collaboration aims to drive breakthroughs in productivity and innovation.

“Microsoft and SAP are committed to providing world-class answers to our consumers to solve their ultimate core business challenges,” said Scott Guthrie, executive vice president of cloud and artificial intelligence at Microsoft. “The integration of Microsoft Copilot and Joule brings in combination the power of generative AI to unlock greater worker productivity and will enable corporations to drive customer-centric innovation in a unified experience.

The two corporations will begin integrating Joule and Copilot later in 2024, combining the business knowledge found in SAP with contextual insights from Microsoft 365, adding Microsoft Teams, Outlook and Word.
