Samsung sends invitations for the launch of Galaxy Unpacked and Galaxy S25

Updated, Tuesday, January 7, 2025: with main points in the prices and implications of the Galaxy S25 for the Ultra S25.

Samsung will host its new Galaxy Unpacked launch event later this month, and the Samsung network will have a first review of the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 + Galaxy S25 Ultra. When can you expect to see the new phones, when will pre-orders open, and when will the new Android flagships powered through OneUi hit them?

It is widely speculated that Samsung will organize the occasion without a galaxy box on January 22. This first date hinted through leaked promotional photographs of an Italian launch occasion. The images (which have been disconnected since then) included the date of January 22, 2025.

Since then, various tipsters have pushed the Jan. 22 date. While some have highlighted Jan. 23 instead, a careful look at the timezones of all the reports points to a morning time slot on the West Coast of America on the 22nd.

Update: Monday, January 6.

Samsung has sent out invitations for its upcoming launch event as the doors of its pavilion open at CES 2025 in Las Vegas. The South Korean company has announced that the next unboxed launch event for the Galaxy will take place on January 22 in San Jose, California.

The event will see the next generation of Galaxy AI, which Samsung says will be a “more natural and intuitive Galaxy AI” that will “change the way Galaxy users interact with the world.”

As part of the invite, Samsung has also confirmed the event will be streamed through the Samsung Newsroom, the main Samsung website, and Samsung’s YouTube page. Galaxy Unpacked will start at 1300 Eastern / 1000 Pacific.

Updated Tuesday, January 7, 2025: Along with release dates, pre-order and availability, one of the key pieces of information for consumers will be the charge of the entire Galaxy S25 family, adding the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The first problems are worth when Samsung updates stores and networks to the final packages.

Android Beat reporter Ishan Agarwal points out the latest potential value of the 512GB Galaxy S25 model. . . €1,079.

The closest style to this S25 in existing diversity is probably the Samsung Galaxy S24, with its 8GB of reminiscence and 256GB of storage. That with a price tag of €960 when it was introduced in January 2024. With every style and every style in the Galaxy S24’s circle of relatives that you’re expected to ship with a minimum of 12GB of RAM, you can see the S25 coming in at €90 more than last year, but with more reminiscence and storage.

Will the Galaxy S5 and S25 Ultra models get a small build value as well as garage and memory building? Worth suggests Ultra’s 12/512 option will be in the same range as 2024’s €1,570.

In recent years, the pre-order window for new Galaxy S phones has opened at the end of the event, allowing those who watched the live stream to log in immediately. Current data is that pre-orders will go live two days after the event, on Friday, January 24, and will remain open until Tuesday, February 4.

If Samsung follows the same pattern as in previous years, the pre-order window will have several offers to encourage consumers to sign up. These have included discounts on accessories (including the Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Buds), a bump up to the next storage level and web-exclusive colors only available through Samsung’s website.

After the pre-order window, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, along with the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25, will go on sale on Friday, February 7. This respects Samsung’s classic two-week period between the opening of pre-orders and launch. Media for sale in portions of the world.

It remains to be seen if we’ll see any new features, or even the first look at the fourth Galaxy S25, the Special Edition.
