Samsung is investigating ‘AI phones’ with ‘radically different’ hardware

Moreover, AI plays a vital role in the smartphone market. And, apparently, Samsung is making plans to make committed “AI phones” that are “radically different” from the Galaxy phones we see today.

Speaking to the Australian Financial Review (via GSMArena), Samsung’s TM Roh explained that the company is devoting the “most” of its (R) development efforts lately.

What is an AI phone? This is something we are still waiting for a response to.

The concept of an “AI phone” has been talked about a lot in recent years, but maximum attempts at compromised AI hardware have been difficult, to say the least. Rather, classic smartphones with more AI features have been successful, such as Samsung’s Galaxy S24 series.

For Samsung, however, it turns out that the concept of a compromised “AI phone” would possibly come with new hardware concepts. Roh says the hardware of those “AI phones” may also be very different, saying “they may also just turn out to be drastically different from Samsung’s existing phones. ” Again, there’s no context for this, but it may also be that panel phones and foldables don’t make up the breadth of Samsung’s smartphone hardware.
