Big Blue has had the toughest 4G network in the U. S. in our tests since 2019, but it outperformed Verizon and T-Mobile where it will have mid- or high-band 5G in 2020 and 2021. In recent months, Verizon has announced a major expansion of its faster mid-band 5G network, while AT
However, according to some Twitter insiders, I heard that the middle band of AT
This wonderful functionality improves. while in
To compare spectrum and performance, I used Wind Pro, an Ookla carrier-level test app that we used in the past to verify Verizon’s C-band in New York and AT’s C-band.
The C-band more or less doubles the functionality we have noticed in AT
More importantly, for many people, more spectrum increases the floor of functionality. The “5G” effects had a minimum speed of 8 Mbps while the “5G” effects had a minimum of 24 Mbps. It’s a difference that can really be felt, and it’s probably going to be bigger as AT.
You’ll want a newer phone for the new spectrum. We have a list of Verizon C-band compatible phones; The LIST OF AT
We may not draw any genuine conclusions about the diversity of average diversity that might apply to other places because Manhattan is unique. Due to the density and structure of the canyons, the moving levels are incredibly short and therefore the maximum diversity of the medium canyons band waves never come into play. According to CellMapper(Opens in a new window), the AT site
It’s a very dense setup, but it’s still too far from the dream of the city-wide millimeter wave policy that operators sold us in 2019. Millimeter wave sites have a diversity of about 0. 15 miles in a city like this, so there would be a noticeable hole between the 30th Street site and the next one to the north. So, we can’t tell you what the mid-band diversity of AT looks like.

So why in
Not all cells are still in the C and AT band
Here’s a mystery. reserve army
The addition of 3. 45 GHz spectrum will double AT’s mid-band 5G capacity
If you want to expect even higher performance, want a Samsung Galaxy S22 series or the upcoming iPhone 14.
It may be that THE congestion needs of TA
In any case, we’re making plans for a big AT announcement.

I’m that 5G guy. I’ve been here for each and every “G”. I reviewed over a thousand products over 18 years full-time in PCMag. com, adding all generations of iPhone and Samsung Galaxy S. I also write a weekly newsletter, Fully Mobilized, where I’m obsessed with phones and networks.

Being cross-platform is a must for someone in my position. In the United States, the mobile world is quite clearly divided between iOS and Android. Therefore, I think it’s important to have all Apple, Android, and Windows devices in my daily orbit.
I use a Lenovo ThinkPad Carbon X1 for painting and a 2021 Apple MacBook Pro for non-public use. My current phone is a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, though I’ll probably upgrade to a foldable Android. Most of my writing is in Microsoft OneNote or a loose paperback app called Notepad. The number processing, which I do for those great knowledge stories, is done through Microsoft Excel, DataGrip for MySQL, and Tableau.
In terms of apps and cloud services, I use Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive a lot, although I also have iCloud because of the 3 Macs and 3 iPads in our house. I’m subscribed to too many streaming services.
My main pill is a 12. 9-inch, 2020-style Apple iPad Pro. When I need to read a book, I have a 2018-style Amazon Kindle Paperwhite with a flat front. The smart speakers in my house use Google Home and I watch a TCL Roku TV. And Verizon Fios helps me stay connected at home.
My first PC an Atari 800 and my first mobile phone a Qualcomm Thin Phone. I still have very fond feelings for any of them.
