Microsoft simplifies upgrading your Office subscription by allowing you to manage your account in the Windows 11 Settings app.
The new feature comes to Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25126 (opens in a new tab), which can be discovered on Dev Channel. You’ll need to verify all supported Microsoft 365 Office apps that are authorized for your account by going to the Accounts tab in the Settings menu. There you can read the main points of the product by clicking on View details and even buy them if you need a subscription.
The remodeled Accounts tab also has links to the Microsoft Rewards page (opens in a new tab) and your non-public OneDrive storage. that the latest edition is installed on your computer if it is part of the Insider Program.
The rest of Preview Build 25126 is a set of fixes. According to the blog post, Microsoft maintained a customization factor that caused the upside-down preview images to appear when Arabic or Hebrew was the demo language. They also keep the search bar that randomly failed. and made sure that the open context menus maintained the same visual taste as the task manager.
Microsoft said it’s aware of issues affecting video games and live captions in some apps. Apparently, some games will fail if you use Easy Ant-Cheat (opens in a new tab). Some video players, Microsoft has not specified which ones, will. Do not display live subtitles or launch the subtitle app at the top of the screen.
Microsoft’s Windows updates can be a bit of a roller coaster. Fix bugs with some and introduce new ones with others.
There have been reports, for example, of a recent Windows 11 update (standard, not Insider) that broke parts of the Trend Micro antivirus. The update brought an antivirus compatibility factor, which caused some features to not work. Trend Micro is running on a solution while Microsoft has remained silent. Hopefully, this error is identified and fixed temporarily.
