(RTTNews) – Qualcomm Inc. (QCOM) has announced Quick Charge 5, the fastest smartphone charging generation that supports 100 watt charging.
Qualcomm says Quick Charge five is designed to allow users to rate devices with a battery power of 0 to 5% in just five minutes.
Quick Charge five also uses Qualcomm Battery Saver and the new generation of Qualcomm Smart Identification of Capabilities for unprecedented power and support that increase the life cycle of the device’s battery.
According to Qualcomm tests, a 4000 mAh battery can be rated from 0% to 5% in five minutes. A full charge of the battery will take between 15 minutes.
The new generation also operates at 10 degrees Celsius than its predecessor Quick Charge 4.
Five-force fast-charging modules are required to face output voltages between at least 3.3 and 20 volts, with 3.3 or five amps of force or five amps.
