The county, southeast of Atlanta, will host the third U.S. purple bed production facility.
“We’re proud to be an American manufacturer,” said Joe Megibow, Purple’s ceo. “In these difficult times, we are proud to invest in expanding our production and production capacity across the country, creating many new jobs.”
The 520,000 square feet. the plant will create 360 new jobs. This will be the company’s first outdoor production facility in its state of Utah, and will be designed to meet customer requests for its products on the east coast of the United States.
“Advanced production has been an integral component of Henry County’s economy,” said Pierre Clements, president of the Henry County Development Authority. “We are very pleased that this now includes Purple’s cutting-edge convenience technology. Purple will be a wonderful addition to Henry’s impressive presence in complex production companies.”
