If you’re even slightly interested in getting your hands on the new 2025 Galaxy S25 smartphone, there’s no reason not to reserve. Since this isn’t a pre-order, you don’t have to place any kind of deposit, and there’s no commitment to buy.
Although Samsung is tight-lipped about the details, we can infer that the new Galaxy S phones will be dubbed “S25” (last year’s series was the S24) and will very likely come in its usual three variants: the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra, with a potential fourth model – the Galaxy S25 “Slim” – unveiled as well.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra was our favorite Android phone of 2024. In our review of the Galaxy S24 Ultra, Jacqueline Thomas wrote that “the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is a smartphone. It may look like any other Galaxy device, but its titanium chassis and powerful processor make it a durable gaming phone that can outperform the best of them.
The less expensive Galaxy S24 Plus was also a solid winner in our books. In our Galaxy S24 Plus review, Mark Knapp wrote that “the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is the best Android phone you can buy right now, but at $1,299, it really needs to be. This is not only the fastest gaming phone you can buy today, but with its premium titanium chassis, it might just be the most durable. Samsung is sweetening the deal a bit by adding a huge variety of AI tools, but many of them will probably be forgotten after you’ve been using the phone for a while. Still, don’t let that get you down: If you want a premium Android phone in 2024, it’s hard to imagine getting anything else.
Since the Galaxy S25 will be Samsung’s new flagship phone, we expect improvements across the board. Galaxy S phones are well-known for excellent build quality and premium aesthetic, powerful components, and a best-in-class camera. The incorporation of AI has been at the forefront of CES 2025 and I expect Samsung to follow suit with its own Galaxy AI algorithm. Rumors abound but concrete details are still thin. We will all find out soon enough, and if the phone beats expectations, you’d be glad that you reserved in advance.

I’m not going to get my feet wet with this generation if they don’t update the batteries. Chinese phones use new silicon-carbon batteries, which are thinner and much denser. It would be like paying $1,200 for a DVD player while other countries buy Blu-ray players.
My s22 ultra has been super solid. So no updates for me this year. I am very satisfied with Samsung since my separation from Apple.
I love my Samsung. It’s an S21, it’s almost five years old and it still works as well as the first day. At this rate I’ll be on the s3X for my next upgrade in several years.
No. I’m willing to upgrade every five years, so there’s still plenty left in my S24 Ultra
Samsung will never match the consistency and ecosystem that Apple provides.
Has the Galaxy reached the same point as the iPhone yet?I’ve made the switch, but I doubt if upgrading to a Galaxy would still feel like a downgrade.
I’m in love with my S23 Ultra. . . it’s not a big enough difference to upgrade. . . just my opinion
I’ll shake my S22 until I throw it off a cliff into a lava pit.
Still on my S22 cause I love the colors and saturation. I tried the S24 and it looked very dull to me. Hopefully the S25 looks much better cause my phone is being slow and sluggish
Also on the S20 5G with 12GB of RAM. It’s hard to give up a beast like that when they’ve been running RAM so low for four years at levels that don’t match those of a phablet.
I’m still paying my bill. But I’m very pleased with that.
s22 ultra enjoyer. Nothing against iPhone I just prefer Android. ??♂️
It allows you to purchase the same phone with a higher number and another color of the year.
I still travel with my S9+. Maybe I won’t update until my phone explodes, but I love Samsung!
