Poll: 93% of Americans Oppose U. S. Cyber Warfare

The risk of a cyber war against the United States is a very real fear for a large number of Americans, according to a customer survey published in April by security company NordVPN.

The survey, which surveyed more than 1,000 American consumers, found that 93 percent were concerned that a foreign country could wage cyber war against U. S. war. The investigation comes amid elevated reports of cyber activity in Ukraine and Russia, even as the Chinese government continues to conduct cyber campaigns on U. S. government systems. USA

“Cyber warfare is carried out for many other reasons and between groups. Even in peacetime, we have noticed concerted online efforts through Russia, China, and others to interfere with the democratic processes of the United States and other allies,” Daniel Markuson, virtual privacy expert at NordVPN, said in a statement.
