TOKYO (TR) – A photographer who can locate paintings in front of the ongoing pandemic resorted to camera lens theft in the Toshima community this month, police said, tbS News (August 9) reported.
On August 5, Koto Ikeda, 46, allegedly entered a warehouse for an electronics store near JR Ikebukuro Station and stole a total of 14 lenses valued at 3.65 million yen.
“I ran out of paints because of the new coronavirus,” Ikeda, quoted by the police, said, admitting the accusations. “I stole [the glasses] because I’m involved for money.”
According to security camera footage, Ikeda entered the warehouse twice between four o’clock in the afternoon. and nine of the night
The suspect used a bag to take the glasses. No staff member saw it as the robbery was held opening hours of the main store.
