Since Jimmy McGill’s girlfriend, Kim Wexler, played Rhea Seehorn, had a twist of the motorsport fate a few seasons ago on AMC’s Better Call Saul/Sony TV, we’ve had the worst opinion about her character, and that’s probably because she never shows up. in the Breaking Bad series of motherships.
“It’s an attractive scenario because the series is a prequel to Breaking Bad and somehow a sequel,” said Peter Gould, co-creator/showrunner nominated for the Emmys, Sony’s TV panel on Contenders Television on Deadline: The All-Day. Nominated event. “We know the fate of some of those characters, Jimmy McGill and Mike Ehrmantraut, but we don’t know what will happen to Kim Wexler.”

“Over the course of the series, Kim has the character that matters most to us,” he added about Wexler after telling the fact to Jimmy/Saul’s new boss, Lalo Salamanca (Tony Dalton) on “Bad Choice Road,” the ninth episode. this season that marked a writing dramaturgy called Emmy (for Thomas Schnauz). In this episode, Lalo visits Jimmy and Kim in his apartment, pushing them to tell the fact that the money moved into the desert, which almost derailed due to some other sign. Ehrmantraut at the end of the episode has Lalo pointed through a sniper bezel in front of Jimmy and Kim’s apartment in case something goes wrong.
“This season is a matter of life and death for sure, and in the end it’s about where his head is,” Gould said. “Are you going the wrong way?”
“She helps keep moving in a corner cutting direction, ” he said.
“What interests us is what is legal and what is right,” says the co-creator. “Being with Jimmy showed her something she knew before, or made her more alive; the ability to take shortcuts, do what you think is right and galvanize what you think is right, you respect system regulations. I’m a little worried about her.”
Another monumental moment for Better Call Saul was the episode “Bagman” directed through Vince Gilligan, who was nominated for an Emmy Drama Writing (written through Gordon Smith). The episode shows that Ehrmantraut stored Jimmy/Saul’s skin from a damaging poster after being sent to a project through Lalo to collect a bag of money. Ehrmantraut and Jimmy/Saul have to venture into the desert, the latter having to drink his own urine to survive. The team fired into the center last summer in an old playground in the desert in Breaking Bad, the Tohajiilee Native American Reserve.
“Everyone had their faces covered, protecting themselves from the sun, ” said Gould. “The snake wrestler told us — we had them with us — don’t worry too much, it’s too hot for snakes!”
As for season 6, the upcoming season of Better Call Saul, it does not yet have a production start date. “We expected to move into production until the end of the year,” Gould said. “It doesn’t seem very likely that this will happen with the scenario we’re in.” Noting that Sony TV is doing “everything humanly possible” to get the filming to resume safely, “I think, unfortunately, we’re going on to hold on a little bit.”
Better Call Saul is nominated for seven Primetime Emmys this season, adding the remarkable drama series.
