UPDATE 3-Tesla targets pre-lockdown production in Shanghai through mid-May

Tesla Inc aims to increase production at its Shanghai plant to 2,600 cars per day starting May 16, it said in an internal memo known through Reuters, as it seeks to repair production to levels prior to the city’s COVID-19 shutdown. Tesla, which now works only one shift, plans to charge more at its Shanghai plant starting May 16 to meet the target, according to the memo reviewed by Reuters. This would bring weekly production to 16,900 Tesla-based vehicles.
