OneXPlayer’s new AMD 6800U powered laptop is on pre-order

One of the biggest gaming booms in 2022 has been on the computer front. Sure, gaming computers get tougher every year, but they’re also beloved devices that take up space. If all you need to do in a portable monster is a game, you can save money and hassle by opting for a device specially designed for games like the new and popular Switch-type computers.

While rumors circulate about Steam Deck 2, there isn’t much concrete. We don’t even know when to expect the new PC/laptop hybrid, and Valve is still going through the backlog. It’s still a bit difficult to know if you have it in your hands or not, however, other corporations are more than happy to fill the void.

One of them is OneXPlayer. This company has been producing laptops for some time now and they are available in a variety of versions with AMD and Intel based designs. Now, AMD’s newest line of units, the 7-inch OneXPlayer Mini. Pro, is on pre-order (opens in a new tab) and comes with a drawdown and some bonuses for those willing to deposit.

The new wearable is powered via an AMD Ryzen 7 6800U, potentially like AOKZOE AI, which is a competitor that’s still on pre-order (opens in a new tab). Although AOKZOE has been providing pre-orders for some time, this new OneXPlayer turns out to be a fairer bet, given that OneXPlayer already has a decent track record for those machines, like the One-Net Netbook OneXPlayer Mini we reviewed (opens in a new tab).

The similarities don’t end there, because, like the new AOKZOE, those new OneXPlayer sets feature a Radeon 680M GPU with next-gen LPDDR5 RAM. These tell the story of very rugged AMD wearables coming in the near future, with claims that the OneXPlayer Mini Pro boasts a 200% increase in frame rate over previous sets. Together with a 1920×1200 HD 323 PPI panel, they can be cool little machines. But of course, they are not cheap.

The OneXPlayer Mini Pro deserves to charge $1,199, but if you’re first satisfied with depositing $50 into a deposit, it’s worth it for the benefits. The pre-order unlocks a 23% reduction, bringing the total value down to $919, plus an extra docking bag and cover to pass with it. With its own updated software and the ability to run Steam Deck software (opens in a new tab), it can be a wonderful little handheld. Sold, it makes sense to place a pre-order for bonus bonuses.
