Construction crews are busy building a long-awaited senior fitness clinic that will function as part of Binghamton University’s Health Sciences Campus.
Plans for the installation of Jennison and Corliss Avenues were announced 3 years ago. The task is carried out in collaboration with the hospital of Lourdes.
An old space and an old medical complex were demolished almost 3 years ago to make way for the clinic. The assets are located just northeast of the renovated Endicott Johnson building, which now occupies the Decker College of Nursing and Health Sciences.
A few weeks ago, safety fences were installed on the long-haul of the Ford Family Wellness Center for Seniors.
Workers at businesses in upstate Oneonta are recently conducting excavation operations on nearby assets on Ozalid Road, where a clinic parking lot will be located. Paving of the lot will begin soon.
The clinic itself will be housed in an engineering construction with specially designed components.
Supervised scholars from the nursing school are expected to assist in the clinic.
According to the Decker College of Nursing website, the clinic’s assignment is now expected to be completed by the end of this year or early next year.
