It’s just over a week before the Nvidia UltimateCountdown ends. The first geforce RTX 30 series graphics card salvo (RTX 3090 and 3080?) You should be the star of the screen on the special occasion of September 1., starting at 9 am PT (5 pm BST). As expected, leaks over those exciting new products are piling up and there have been two major spills over the weekend.
Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 in pictures
On Friday night, a cloud security researcher named @GarnetSunset posted some photos of a supposed Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 who was sitting at his table next to an RTX 2080 Founders Edition graphics card to climb..
Many of the answers seemed to be related to the poster that manipulated the photographs to make the RTX 3090 look bigger than it is; however, this accusation is firmly denied, the OP wonders why other people think it would do such a thing. In response, @GarnetSunset asked a Twitter colleague what it would gain by giving a GPU a 4% larger look than it is.
So what can we see here? The GeForce RTX 3090, the Titan of the Ampere generation, uses the cooling fairing we first saw in early June, is a triple slit cooler, and says it is 310 mm long.
The source also costs for the entire nearby range, as follows:
We don’t have many specifications for upcoming Ampere GeForce cards, however, 10 days ago we reported on the Micron PDF that shared the RTX 3090’s reminiscent settings.A week ago, we tracked with some RTX 2080 reference details.
New Ampere GeForce connector
There have been rumors about the next generation of GeForce, a new force connector. This weekend, it was revealed that power source manufacturer Seasonic had produced an adapter so that consumers can only convert 2 8-pin Molex connectors with the Nvidia 12-pin PCIe connector used through the upcoming Founders Edition graphics cards.
Andreas Schilling, editor-in-chief of HardwareLuxx, described the new connector in the link above, took some of the new connectors along with familiar referral issues and posted them to his Twitter account.Above, you can see the connector next to the more 2x 8-pin Family Settings. The new 12-pin connector is about the same width as an 8-pin Molex connector.
