In a tweet Wednesday, James said he opened an investigation into those four sites, as well as any other online areas the shooter used to carry out his attack, which killed ten other people and wounded three others.

The gunman published a 180-page manifesto describing his confidence in The Great Replacement, a right-wing white nationalist conspiracy theory. Other white nationalist mass shooters have already used this to publicize their protests ahead of their attacks. According to the Buffalo shooter, he also used 8chan to describe his plans.

According to newspapers published on the shooter’s personal Discord channel, he used the platform as a diary, communicating the mind that it would be a fatal truth last weekend.
