A joint project has been presented by the National Tourism Agency and the Azerbaijan Tourism Board.

The main objective of the “REAL Vatan” assignment is to showcase national tourism in Azerbaijan and to publicize existing local tourism opportunities.

The project, broadcast by Real TV, reviewed the Gadabay region, its majestic nature, culture and history.

With its wide variety of herbal treasures, Gadabay has a lot to show off.

The domain is home to a host of amazing herbal attractions, ancient monuments that dot the region.

Gadabay is surrounded by mountain forests and poppy fields. Near Gadabay is the village of Slavyanka, known for its famous water springs Narzan, Mor-Mor, Chaldash, etc.

Akhinja, Zayam and Shamkir are the largest rivers in Gadabay. Here you can breathe new air and the wonderful outdoors near the river coast.

Shahzada is a position where he stops at Gadabay. The top ice waterfall of 18 to 20 meters will cool your body on a hot summer day.

Spectacular forest meadows in the Midlands, deciduous forests, subalpine and mountain meadows occupy the territory of the region.

There are 4 emerald forests in the area: Govdu, Godekdere, Gamish and Shamlig.

The heights are: Goshabulag (3549 m), Godzhadagh (2217 m) and Garaarkhadzh (3549 m).

The monuments in the Gadabay region are an integral part of Azerbaijani culture, known here as the Gadabay-Khojaly culture.

Here you can see the Cycpoles structures of the last Bronze Period, the forstress of Boyuk-gala, the Galakend-galasi towers (sixteenth century), Giz-galasi (another called Namerd – gala, ninth century), the 19th century arch bridge.

The 18th-century Koroglu Castle is a great spectacle of the Gadabay region. The castle walls are one meter thick and the monument occupies a strategic location.

The castle of Beyukgala, on the territory of the village of Soyudlu, which belongs to the Iron Age, is listed as a monument of world importance. The domain also attracts attention with countless caves, ancient churches and Albanian temples. Each of these temples is an archaeological monument from the Bronze Age.

Like the administrative unit, Gadabay was created on August 8, 1930 under the name Rustam Aliyev. In 1938, he recalled the Gadabay region.

From castles and historical landscapes, Gadabay is a glorious position to contemplate nature in all its beauty.

You will be rewarded with unforgettable impressions, a deep sense and a feeling of being one with nature.
